I always hated “Because I said so.” HATED that answer. LOATHED IT. Just give me a freakin’ reason. Yeah, well that whole provide a reason thing hit bitten me in the ass for sure. Now, I give an answer and if I get pressed further, I whip out the best momism I know. “BECAUSE. I. Said. So. That’s why!”

Oh man, me too! I adore my mother but the things she did when I was growing up that irritated me are the SAME things I do to my kids.

Like brushing their hair out of their faces when they are eating. I mean don’t they REALIZE they are getting HAIR in the mouths while they are eating? LOL

I always tell them I have “eyes in the back of my head” and my mom used to say that DAILY.
