Okay, I’m gonna go all Saturday Night Live on you right now when I say…

I just read an article in the Village Voice this morning about Blog2Print holding a “belly bump casting call to find two ‘spokesbellies’ to help them in a national ad campaign.”  Oh for the love of all that is holy….

And what, do you ask, is the grand prize for these lucky ‘spokesbellies?’ A modeling fee, diapers for one year and one Blog2Print book every year, for the next 18 years.

Again – REALLY?!

Is it just me or has the world gone crazy?  Give me your pregnant belly so that I can market my business!  I mean, what in the world?

I know, I know… you are gonna tell me that it is their body and therefore their choice and I have no business judging it.  Well, that may be true but I am still horrified at the thought of some woman running around eight months pregnant with www.blog2print.com in bold print across her stomach.  So distasteful for so many reasons.  I feel like society continues to cheapen itself with outlandish acts like these.

What do you think?
