Oh man! This totally makes me fearful when my little guy gets old enough for school field trips. I would’ve assumed the same thing about food. I’ll try to remember this when a few years down the road I’ll be doing this myself.

My hubby “lost it” at the Air and Space museum. He took the 4 girls (NOT any easier than boys BTW) to the MickyD’s for ice cream. When he was called out by one of the veteran (read anal overly involved helicopter) parents he simply replied “So, what are you gonna do about it”. That’s my man the rebel of the field trips.. very James Dean meets Mr. Mom.

You know, I don’t remember my mom chaperoning any of my field trips. Actually, I don’t remember parents coming along at all. Weird, who else would be there? Anyhoo, I can totally see you sitting there looking longingly at everyone else’s food. Too funny! But hey, you survived, and you got a nap! So it’s not all bad.

Godloveyoublessyourheart…!!! Sooo glad you were able to muster up the strength to tell the tale of your tragedy. I too have been “fresh meat” AND it might surprise you that I had a group of girls and it was nothing that I hope to repeat anytime soon (also read as: NEVER). Five girls plus the OK State History Museum equals drama, drama, DRAMA! I shudder now in my chair remembering the torture…the horror…the terribleness of it all…

This cracked me up. Mostly because we just moved from the NoVA ‘burbs to Federal Hill in Baltimore, and got a family annual membership to the Science Center. Let’s just say we got our money’s worth on day four.

I could navigate that place in my sleep. And I am just chasing one 3.5 year old around…
