If you’ve spent any time on my blog you well know that I have a passion for the inspirational and creative side of life. It is just who I am and what I love.

I also love… beautiful spaces.

I’ve spent a lot of time over the years  tying to create an office space that fits my personality and feeds my soul. And although I finally feel like I have a clear vision in mind, it is still a work in progress. (Especially considering I recently merged my business space into my home space. <— Fun AND challenging at the same time.)

In pursuit of the perfect creative office space, I’ve developed an interest (err… obsession?) with personal office style. I think it says a lot about the individual. I love seeing what makes other people tick, what gets their creative juices flowing and how they express their work/life style.

I have to tell you, I practically swooned when I found Jenna Lyons’ office online. Jenna is the president and creative director of  J.Crew. (She’s kinda successful.) Take a gander at her work space…


I’m the type of woman who strives for something she cannot obtain…. complete streamlined organization.

My version of organization looks a bit like the above picture. (Sans the pink fur throw, of course.)  The fact that Jenna’s office is so vibrant and creative and even a tad messy makes my heart sing.  Like I said, validation.

Her iconic workspace is filled with countless magazines, books, files and trinkets. Her board of inspiration contains photographs, artwork and swatches as well as notes and cards from luminaries in the art and fashion world and spans an entire wall.


Oh how I covet this space.
