I’m a happy, happy girl these days. My attitude is better. My smile is wider. My sense of humor returned. Heck, I even bought Chia seeds the other day.
It is running season again!
Granted, it is still chilly out there but the birds are chirping and ice cycles are no longer forming in my hair. And THAT makes me happy. (Because who wants to run with an ice ponytail and hypothermic fingers?)
And with the return of running season is a new resolve to incorporate the right nutrition and training into my daily life. (That and the threat of bathing suit season… ugh.)
On that note, I would like to introduce you to one of my favorite finds to date – Omega Infusion Water. Now, I believe I have talked before about my complete disdain for the 8 glasses of water rule. I just don’t like it. I’ve tried overcoming it with lemon and additives and the like. Still … yuk!
Not to sound cheesy but Omega Infusion changed all of that for me. Omega Infusion Water is calorie-free and available in fruit punch, orange, citrus and berry flavors. That alone is not remarkable, I realize that. But they ALSO contain 80mg of healthy Omega-3s (EPA/DHA) with natural energy from B vitamins and antioxidant vitamin C and...they taste terrific.
Clueless about the significance of Omega-3? The FDA qualified health benefit of Omega-3 fatty acids is a reduced risk of coronary heart disease (CHD). Recent studies have also shown some potential benefits to include:
- Improvement of cognitive function
- Increased mental focus and motivation
- Reduced stress levels and mental fatigue
- Potential to counter inflammation
- Higher level of satiety and appetite reduction
Our bodies are not able to naturally produce the nutrients found in Omega-3 so we must get them from outside sources. (And I don’t know about you, but fish oil pills make me want to gag.)
Now do you see why I love this water? It is the perfect blend of hydration, taste and nutrients. Incidentally, you can find it at Giant Stores, Stop & Shop and HEB stores.

Disclosure: I was provided with samples of Omega Infusion Water and compensation in exchange for this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Incidentally, I’ve had to majorly restock. My son is a huge fan as well.
