There is no denying that blogging has perks. Not only do you get to share your thoughts and opinions with the world, you also are exposed to brilliant minds and are able to experience unique opportunities with people that you admire.
One of those unique opportunities came yesterday in the form of a holiday-themed coffee party. Yes, you heard me. Coffee. Party. (Possibly my two favorite things in life paired together.)
The guest list included bloggers from the area (blog roll below) who were treated to all sorts of festive fun like a photo booth, holiday cookie swap and crafting.
The main reason we were all in the room, however, was to spread a little holiday cheer and sample Marley Coffee.
I can’t speak for the other ladies in attendance but this java junkie was excited to be introduced to the product. (I had absolutely no exposure to the brand prior to this soiree and was eager to give it a test run.)
Marley Coffee was founded by Rohan Marley, son of legendary musician and visionary Bob Marley. The coffee hails from a plantation atop Jamaicas Blue Mountains, which, as I learned on my recent trip to Jamaica, is one of the worlds most prized coffee-producing regions.
A momentary pause here to lay it out on the line for you – THIS COFFEE IS GOOD. Really, really good. (It has to be, people. It is from Jamaica!) It is smooth and rich, sustainably grown and artisan roasted.
The brand is available both traditionally and in k-cup format. I have to say that as much as I love the convenience of Kuerig systems (we use them at the office) I’ve never been a fan of the aftermath of using k-cups. (Hello, landfill.) So I was happy to hear that Marley Coffee will fully transition to the EcoCup capsule next summer thus becoming one of the first brands with an easy to use recyclable solution.
A little shout-out below to all of the ladies I had the pleasure of spending time with yesterday. Be sure to visit their blogs as well….
Thank you to Marley Coffee for the scrumptious coffee samples we got to take home just in time for the holidays! (Huge hugs also from the office staff. They’re thrilled to get in on the sampling action as well!)
