Is there anything more therapeutic or satisfying as shopping?
Of course not. We all know the answer to that, don’t we?
As I shared with you a few days ago, I was given the opportunity to work withQueenstown Premium Outletsin Queenstown, Maryland to experience outlet shopping nearthe beautiful Eastern Shore.
As a working mom, I am obsessed with trying to maximize my time. Rarely will you find me not multi-tasking or brainstorming or delegating. Shopping excursions aren’t the exeption to this norm so I worked out a plan of attack ahead of time in order to get everything accomplished that I needed to.
Mymain goal was to fill in the gaps of my professional wardrobe in a way that would work for multiple seasons of dressing. I also wanted one splurge. I wasn’t sure what that would be so I decided to wait on that until I experienced the outlets.
In case you aren’t familiar,QueenstownPremium Outlets is located just across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to Rt. 50E/301N split. The outlet centerhas more than 63stores and over 289,000 square feet of shopping. You can findeverything from household goods and kitchenware to clothing, shoes and accessories.
My friend, and fellow blogger, Sue from Pursuit of it All came with me and we shopped. And shopped. And shopped. We loved that every sales person we encountered was truly wonderful and made us feel likeVIPs everywhere we went. (Especially at Auntie Anne’s. We loved the owners. Great guys!)
My biggest issue turned out to be my own indecision. Ihad way too many options and simply wanted IT ALL. The prices were so low that I really had a hard time resisting, if I’m being honest. (My poor bank account!)For the record, it wasn’t all about me.I also found some stylish shirtsfor my teenagers while I was there. (Old Navy FTW!)
- Two cocktail / gala dresses and an a-line skirt from Dress Barn
- Two work dresses, a necklace and bracelet from Loft (not pictured: black Loft jean jacket)
- Six shirts from Old Navy
- Four pairs of earrings and one statement necklace from Accents
- A Kate Spade purse and wallet (MY SPLURGE!)
Some detailsof note: The outlet will be hosting a Back To School/Fall Preview Salefrom July 31st to August 9th.Don’t forget that Maryland’s sales tax holiday is August 9-15th which means huge savings over their already discounted prices. Hours generally run from 10-9 on most days. Consult the website for more specific details and any restrictions.
